How to play Chicken

Chicken is a nerve game about one question, asked over and over: take what you have, or push for one more lane? Set your bet and the bird starts on the curb. Each time you press step, it crosses one lane of a busy road. Clear it and your multiplier ticks up; the readout always shows where you stand now and what the very next lane would pay. But one lane somewhere ahead hides traffic, and if the chicken steps into it the round ends with nothing.

The crash lane is fixed by a cryptographic random generator the instant the round begins — the same provably-fair idea behind the rest of the arcade — so no amount of hesitation or hot-streak feeling changes where it sits. That is why every step is a clean coin-flip against the odds in front of you, and why a built-in house edge keeps the multipliers a touch below their "fair" value. Cash out before the traffic and your stake times the current multiplier is yours; cash out late and you risk it all. It is a tidy way to feel how variance and RTP trade against the thrill of one more lane — all with virtual points, just for fun.

Rules

  1. Enter a bet between 10 and 100 points and press start. The chicken begins on the curb at ×1.
  2. Press step to cross the next lane. Survive and the multiplier rises to the value shown for that lane.
  3. The strip shows your current multiplier and the next lane payout, so you always know the deal before you commit.
  4. At any point after the first safe lane, press cash out to bank bet × current multiplier and end the round.
  5. Step into a traffic lane and the round busts: you lose the stake and the hidden crash lane is revealed.
  6. Clear every lane and the round auto-cashes at the top multiplier — the safe ceiling of the run.
  7. Wins are capped at +500 points per round and per day, so the deepest crossings may be trimmed to that maximum.

Tips from Jérôme

  • Decide your exit before you start. A target of three or four lanes wins often; chasing the far lanes is rare, big, and pure variance.
  • The crash lane is locked from the first step — a long safe run does not make the next lane any safer. There are no "due" crashes.
  • Watch the next-lane readout, not the dream at the end. Once the jump in payout feels worth less than the risk, that is your cue to cash out.
  • Because of the house edge, raising your bet to recover a bust just loses points faster — the odds per lane never change.
  • Virtual points, just for fun: pick a lane goal, take the cash out when you reach it, and enjoy the next round.
