How to play Mines

Mines is a nerve game played on a 25-tile grid. Before you start you decide two things: your bet (10–100 points) and how many of the 25 tiles are secretly mines, anywhere from 1 to 24. The more mines you bury, the fewer safe tiles remain — and the harder each pick becomes. You then turn over tiles one at a time. Hit a 💎 and you survive; the running multiplier ticks up because the next pick just got riskier. Hit a 💣 and the round is over instantly, taking your stake with it.

The tension is the whole point: at any moment you can cash out and bank the current multiplier, or push your luck for one more tile. Where the mines sit is fixed by a cryptographic random generator at the start of the round — the same idea behind provably-fair play — so no pattern of clicks is "smarter" than another and a clean run never makes the next tile safer. A fixed house edge keeps every payout a touch below the fair odds, which is exactly why no system beats it long-term. Here you are spending virtual points for fun, so Mines is a clean way to feel how RTP and variance trade off against each other in real time.

Rules

  1. Set your bet (10–100 points) and choose how many mines (1–24) to hide on the 25-tile grid, then press Start.
  2. Click a tile to reveal it. A 💎 safe tile raises your multiplier; a 💣 mine ends the round and you lose the stake.
  3. More mines means fewer safe tiles, so each safe pick pays a bigger jump — risk and reward move together.
  4. Cash out after any safe pick to bank bet × multiplier. You must reveal at least one safe tile first.
  5. Clear every safe tile and the round auto-cashes at the top multiplier — you cannot keep going past that.
  6. Wins are capped at +500 points per round, plus a daily ceiling, so very deep runs may be trimmed to the cap.
  7. Mine positions are locked in when the round starts. A streak of safe tiles does not make the next one safer — that is just variance.

Tips from Jérôme

  • Pick a mine count that matches your mood: few mines (1–3) gives lots of small, steady climbs; many mines (10+) gives rare, explosive multipliers. Same RTP, very different ride.
  • Decide your exit before you start — e.g. "cash out after 4 safe tiles" — and actually do it. The biggest losses come from one greedy pick too many.
  • Watch the "next tile" preview: it shows what the multiplier becomes if your next pick is safe, which makes the risk/reward decision concrete.
  • There are no hot or cold tiles. Chasing a bust with a bigger bet only burns points faster — the house edge never moves.
  • It is virtual points and just for fun — set a session limit, enjoy the suspense, and stop when you said you would.
