How to play Penalty
Penalty is a progressive shoot-out built on one question, asked again and again: bank what you have, or take one more kick? Set a difficulty and a bet, then strike from the spot. Each goal climbs a rung on the multiplier ladder — the readout always shows where you stand now and what the next goal would pay. But if the keeper guesses right and makes a save, the round busts and the stake is gone.
Difficulty sets your per-shot scoring chance, and the ladder is derived straight from it: multiplier = round(0.97 × (1 / chance)^goals, 2). Easy scores about four in five and climbs gently; insane goes in roughly one in five but the rungs rocket. Because the multiplier is shaved by a flat house edge of about 3%, the same RTP applies at every cash-out target whichever difficulty you pick — only the variance changes. Every goal-or-save is decided server-side by a cryptographic generator — the same provably-fair idea behind the rest of the arcade — and the corner you aim at is pure flavour for the keeper's dive, never the odds. It is a tidy way to feel how risk and reward trade off, all with virtual points, just for fun.
Rules
1Choose a difficulty — Easy (~80% to score, ×1.21/goal), Medium (~53%, ×1.83), Hard (~36%, ×2.69) or Insane (~22%, ×4.41) — and a bet between 10 and 100 points, then start.
2Pick a corner (top-left, top-right, bottom-left, bottom-right or down the middle) and press Shoot. The keeper commits as the ball flies.
3GOAL climbs the ladder to the next multiplier — the strip shows your current rung and the next goal payout, so you always know the deal before you commit.
4After at least one goal, press cash out to bank bet × current multiplier and end the round.
5A SAVE busts the round: you lose the stake and the climb resets. There is no rebound or second ball on a saved kick.
6Score every shot up to the ladder ceiling and the round auto-cashes at the top multiplier — the safe ceiling of the run.
7Wins are capped at +500 points per round and per day, so the deepest climbs may be trimmed to that maximum.
Tips from Jérôme
💡Decide your exit before you shoot. A target of two or three goals cashes often; chasing the far rungs is rare, big, and pure variance.
💡The corner you pick does not change your odds — only the difficulty does. Aim wherever you like and let the difficulty do the work.
💡Each shot is independent. A run of goals does not make a save "due", and a run of saves does not make a goal due — the generator has no memory.
💡Watch the next-goal readout, not the dream at the top. Once the jump in payout feels worth less than the save risk, that is your cue to take the cash out.
💡Because of the house edge, raising your bet to recover a bust only burns points faster — the odds per shot never change. Virtual points, just for fun: pick a goal target, bank it, enjoy the next round.
